Curious “Wunderfitz”

In South Baden and Alemannic German you can find a lot of wonderfully weird words that are fun to read but not always easy to understand. Most of the time, fun sounding words refer to something very simple.

The three posters take three Alemannic terms and illustrate the momentous encounter of a “Mugge”.

Of a Wunderfitz who was turned into a Bätschlache when met by a Muggedatscher

A “Wunderfitz” is someone curious, a “Muggedatscher” is normally the tool used to swat flies and “Bätschlache” refers to a puddle.
